So what?!

100% argument, 0% anger.   So what?! was a unique learning competition that focused not on subject knowledge, but on skills: whether contestants could debate in a disciplined manner, argue coherently, think critically, research effectively and work successfully in teams. The central element of the competition was the disputa, a controlled, rigorous form of debate (Karl Popper format), with predefined topics and frameworks. Between 2011 and 2013, the So?! The National Debate Competition and its related programmes were organised by a consortium of five companies (Színfolt Film, Democratic Youth Foundation, Organic Communications, Pillar Foundation and Élménypásztor Kft.). The project was supported by the European Parliament, the European Commission and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. http://www.szoval.eu/ Films on competition, coaching and the role of judges: Structure of the debate and the work of the judges: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IpGDH3J-7lc The debate process: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SDAo2x3qMHY Full debate 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7BEj5rqHTGs Full debate 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yNkcZ5Ui038 Full debate 3: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SE1C5Kvuqto Full debate 4: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mS04Sac-4JY What you need to know about the debate https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cdOoYTmwLe8 Debate final 2013: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DOg2bL_p4Do National Debate Competition 2013: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ObMIY62iH8o National Debate Final 2012: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=deOCfzL2LMg Argumentative speech: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kd_gfU804rM Teacher preparation: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAc8aINCAUQ National Debate Competition 2011-2013: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qdCsSsvCywc
